Meet Dr. Yong Kim

DR. KIM HAS A PERSONAL STORY

Dr. Kim entered the field of chiropractic because of a personal experience that changed his life. During his teenage years, he suffered from chronic low back pain complicated with Sciatica caused by several auto accidents, bad posture, and a few sports injuries. Traditionalallopathic care and physical therapy failed to ease his suffering. He was able to reduce his pain with regular exercise, but he still suffered severe flareups. One day while he was exercising at the gym, a Chiropractor noticed something wrong with him. The chiropractor took him to his clinic and treated him. After several weeks of treatments, he felt 100% better. It only took just another week before Dr. Kim decided to pursue the profession of Chiropractic himself.

DR. KIM IS WELL-EDUCATED

Dr. Kim performed his undergraduate studies for Chiropractic at San Jose State University, and completed his doctoral studies in Chiropractic at Life Chiropractic College West. During his internship, he was one of the few elected clinicians as an Honors Intern and an Intern Supervisor to help other interns manage and care for approximately 1,000 patients per week. Dr. Kim has over 10 years of experience in the chiropractic field.

Dr. Kim continued his studies in neurology through the Carrick Institute and has successfully treated non-ablative neurological conditions such as cervical dystonia, benign positional vertigo, peripheral neuropathies and chronic pain from nociceptive sensitization.

In 2000, Dr. Kim received his certification in Chiropractic Spinal Trauma(CCST) by the Council of Applied chiropractic Science from the International Chiropractic Association. This certification allowed him to excel and treat injuries associated with motor vehicle accidents as well as testify in court as an expert consultant. Dr. Kim has successfully treated many auto injuries where prior medical and chiropractic care did not.

In 2003, Dr. Kim earned his full certification in Active Release Techniques (ART). With this, he has successfully treated professional basketball and football athletes throughout the country. Dr Kim currently holds ART certifications in Spine, Upper Extremity, Lower Extremity, Biomechanics and Long Tract Nerve Entrapments.

In 2006, Dr. Kim obtained his certification as a Chiropractic Sports Practitioner® (CCSP) by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. This specialized certification allows him further in-depth knowledge in the treatment of athletic injuries and the management of physical fitness.
